Social forensics on rug teams. We track the people behind launches across chains, name them before the launch works, and keep the evidence after they delete it.

What this is

Most rug detection looks at the token. We look at the people. A crew does not start from nothing each time: the same accounts follow each new project first, the same handles get renamed and recycled, the same operators shill each other. That pattern is visible on X before a contract is ever deployed.

Just Larps watches a set of accounts continuously, records who follows what and when, archives what they post, and publishes a case file when the pattern holds up.

What this is not. It is not financial advice, not a price signal, and not a guarantee. A detection says a set of accounts behaves like a crew we have already documented. It does not predict what a token will do.

Getting in

Open app.justlarps.fun and connect a Solana wallet. Signing is free, costs no gas, and only proves the wallet is yours. There is no code and no waitlist.

On a phone, a browser cannot hold a wallet, so the app offers Open in Phantom and Open in Solflare instead. Those open Just Larps inside the wallet app, where connecting works.

Your wallet is your account. There is no email and no password.

Reading a detection

Every row in the feed carries the reasons it was published. A typical one:

Each line is a fact you can check yourself. That is deliberate: a feed of accusations without evidence is worth nothing, and you should be able to disagree with us.

The five streams

Stream	What it holds

Watching

The difference between New larps and Watching is the difference between a warning and a lead.

A published detection is a call we stand behind. Watching is the stage before that: the follower graph has surfaced the account, a crew is already early on it, and it has not cleared the bar to be named. Each row shows who arrived early, at what follower position, and which crew they belong to.

Rows in Watching are not verdicts. Some of them will turn out to be nothing. That is what separates the two streams, and why one is published and the other is not.

Confidence

Level	Means
High	Multiple independent signals agree, or a single signal strong enough to stand alone.
Medium	The pattern is there but rests on fewer signals. Reviewed by hand before publishing.
Low	Recorded for the trail. Treat as a note, not a call.

Confidence describes our evidence, not how bad the project is.

The method

Four signals do most of the work.

Who got there first. Follower order is recoverable, and the accounts that follow a project before anyone could plausibly have found it are rarely strangers. When several of them are already linked to a crew we have documented, that is the crew turning up to its own launch.
Account provenance. X publishes where an account is based and how many times it has changed username. A crew tends to share both.
Amplification. Who shills what, and how fast. Interacting with something we already track is itself a signal.
What gets deleted. Posts and accounts that vanish after a launch fails are the most honest evidence there is, which is why we keep them.

No single signal publishes anything on its own unless it is overwhelming. The point of combining them is that any one can be gamed and the combination is expensive to fake.

We do not publish exact thresholds. Not to be mysterious: the people we track read this page too, and a precise rule is a precise evasion guide. Every published row still shows the specific evidence behind it, which is what actually matters to you.

Identity and renames

A handle is a label. The identity is the account's permanent numeric X id, which survives every rename.

This is the whole reason the trail does not break. When a crew renames an account to look fresh, the case file follows it: the feed, the crew page and the map all update to the new handle at once, and the old name lands in Username changes. We also read X's own username-change counter, which knows about renames from before we were watching. One account on file has worn 45 different handles.

The archive

An account we name publicly gets archived immediately, not on the next rota. That rule exists because we got it wrong twice: two accounts were named and then deleted before anything of theirs was kept.

We keep the full text of posts, including deleted ones, and any contract addresses in them. Once an account is deleted its follower list is gone forever, so the snapshot we took is the only copy that will ever exist.

Deleted is verified, never assumed. A post missing from a profile is not proof it was deleted, because X hides the earlier of two near-identical posts while leaving it readable at its own URL. We check every candidate against the post itself before saying anyone deleted anything. A wrong deletion is an accusation.

Automatic publishing

Strong cases publish themselves. When the evidence clears the bar, the detection goes to the feed within minutes and members are alerted, with no human in the loop.

Weaker matches do not. They are raised for review and only publish if a human agrees. Every decision, including the ones that decided not to publish, is logged.

Your holding wallet is separate from the wallet you sign in with. If you bought $JUST with a different Solana wallet, link that one on your profile. Signing in with one wallet and holding in another is normal and fully supported.

Alerts

Two channels, both optional, both configured on your profile.

Discord. Paste a webhook and every new detection posts to that channel. We post a confirmation message before saving it, so a bad URL fails immediately rather than silently never delivering.
Telegram. Generate a link code and tap through to @justlarpsbot. It binds your account in one tap and DMs you each new larp. Send /stop any time.

@justlarpsbot sends alerts. @justlarpsfun is the community group. They are different places.

Invites

Every member has one permanent invite link with unlimited uses, on their profile:

You can set the name yourself, and it defaults to your X handle if it is free. Anyone who opens it connects a wallet and they are in. Nothing to type, nothing to hand over.

Each person who joins through your link earns you a star. Signup is open, so an invite is not permission, it is credit.

Reporting a larp

Members can report an account from the app or by sending /report @handle to the Telegram bot. Three per person per day.

A report is a tip, not a finding. It never touches the public feed. It goes to a review queue, and if it holds up it gets published like anything else, with its own evidence. The feed's only value is that every row in it was vouched for.

Mistakes and corrections

We will get things wrong. When that happens the row comes down, and a detection that was published in error is removed rather than quietly edited.

Two rules exist because of specific mistakes we made:

An account that is named publicly is archived immediately, because we once named two accounts and kept nothing they had posted before they were deleted.
A deletion is verified against the post itself, because we once told a member someone had deleted a post that was still live.

If you think a row is wrong, say so in the Telegram group. Being corrected is cheaper than being wrong in public.

FAQ

Do I need $JUST to use it?

No. The feed, crew case files, the map, the checker, your watchlist, alerts and reporting are all free and stay free. Holding unlocks Watching and a larger watchlist.

I signed in with an EVM wallet. Can I still hold?

Yes. Link a Solana address on your profile and we read your balance from that. It is a second wallet, not a replacement, and it does not change how you sign in.

Why is an account in Watching but not the feed?

Because it has not cleared the bar to be named. Watching is where a case sits while the evidence is still accumulating.

An account changed its name. Did you lose it?

No. We track the permanent numeric id, so a rename updates the case file everywhere at once and the old handle is published under Username changes.

Do you look at the chain?

Not yet in the way we will. On-chain deployer forensics is the second layer and is being built. Everything published today is social forensics.
